Field notes
Preparing a Tainan site for first-time fieldwork
First visits go smoother when someone owns the escort plan. Assign a supervisor who knows both the slow aisle and the damaged cage, and keep a backup for receiving rushes.
Print or export the last month of transfer notes before we arrive. Searching email while a forklift waits wastes everyone’s cut-off window.
Clear a small table near the floor — not only a meeting room upstairs. Mid-day sample reviews need to happen beside the stock, not after memories fade.
If your site uses contractor pickers, tell us on the scoping call. Their logs often explain quantity differences that permanent staff never see.
